パラシュート

I recently came across a Japanese artist by the name of Shugo Tokumaru. His music sounds indie-folk with electronic elements. Ofcourse I don't know Japanese so im not sure about the lyrical translation... but his melodies sound playful and optimistic. I also read somewhere that he plays over 50 instruments and produces his albums with his computer at home. I really liked the song titled Parachute. I placed a link to the official music video below. I really liked how he pronouced "parachute" in the song. I might pronouce it like that from now on. Anyway, I think he definetly deserves a listen.

a new beginning

I am starting this blog because I think it will be fun to write and share things that interest and inspire me. I guess I will begin with a little background about myself. My name is Casie Pace. I hope to be a decent artist one day. I have been studying art in college for about two years now, with a concentration in painting. My favorite mediums are charcoal, pastel, watercolor and ink. I've been thinking a lot about what exactly I want to do with my art degree (which scares me a little). There are many things I am interested in like illustrating children books or making album cover art. I've also been thinking more about being an art teacher. Well anyway I am the oldest of five children and I've spent most of my life in Macon, Ga. I always disliked living in Macon until I moved away from it. I think what I miss the most about it is that my family, boyfriend and my friends still live there. It's what I am use to. But Milledgeville is also a nice town. The people in it make it interesting. I am glad I made the decision to transfer here because I have grown up a lot, as a person and as an artist. Well I hope to update with blogs less about myself and more about things that i find interesting and worthy to write about.
