rabbit

I woke up from a crazy dream earlier of people being in my room while i slept and I could hear them laughing and conversing. It was very strange and I was afraid to fall back asleep. Anyway i looked up random stuff to get my mind off of it so I found out information about my chinese zodiac which is the year of the rabbit. I think a lot of it applies to me and i found it interesting that I am compatible with brian's sign and not with my mom's lol.

Personality
Occupying the 4th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Rabbit symbolizes such character traits as creativity, compassion, and sensitivity. Rabbits are friendly, outgoing and prefer the company of others. They also prefer to avoid conflict. In confrontational situations, Rabbits approach calmly and with consideration for the other party. Rabbits believe strongly in friends and family and lacking such bonds can lead to emotional issues.

Their serene nature keeps Rabbits from becoming visibly upset. Because they’re serene animals, Rabbits are easily taken advantage of. Their sensitive nature makes them shy away from aggressive or competitive situations. They’re overall conservative and not interested in taking risks.

Classy, sophisticated, expressive, well-mannered and stylish, those born under the Sign of the Rabbit enjoy leaning about cultural issues and learning about people from other countries. Rabbits are most comfortable being home, and their homes are always neat and organized. Home is also where Rabbits prefer to entertain. Rabbits are conservative in their decorating tastes.

Rabbits should work at building more self-confidence and self-worth so they can feel more secure. The desire for remaining in safe, comfortable environments keeps Rabbits from taking risks which sometimes causes them to miss out on good opportunities.

Health
Even though Rabbits don’t usually get visibly upset or stressed, they do tend to keep these feelings inside. When they don’t express these feelings, such feeling can cause Rabbits to become ill. Rabbits could benefit from more everyday activity which would reduce their stress levels and better their health.

Relationships
Rabbits are very sexual, but tend to give more of themselves than they should. This can lead to unrealistic expectations and unhealthy situations. Rabbits need partners who won’t take advantage of their giving nature. Such pairings will be strong.

The Rabbit is most compatible with the Pig and Dog and incompatible with the Rooster and Rat.

zombie

I have felt so spaced out this whole weekend. I decided to stay in Milledgeville even though most of my friends went home. I ended up not being so alone after all because I hung out with my friend Melissa Saturday and spent the night over at her place. We had a lot of fun ...went out for Mexican food and coffee. Then it randomly started to snow on Sunday. But it didn't stick enough to make a snowman : ( I've actually been sick since last Thursday with like an upper respiratory infection. So thats probably one reason i've been so spaced out lately. I've had like no appetite too. Anyway, later this week i'm participating in a workshop with famous muralist Judy Baca. Okay..sorry this entry is so random. Ill write something more coherent next time.

パラシュート

I recently came across a Japanese artist by the name of Shugo Tokumaru. His music sounds indie-folk with electronic elements. Ofcourse I don't know Japanese so im not sure about the lyrical translation... but his melodies sound playful and optimistic. I also read somewhere that he plays over 50 instruments and produces his albums with his computer at home. I really liked the song titled Parachute. I placed a link to the official music video below. I really liked how he pronouced "parachute" in the song. I might pronouce it like that from now on. Anyway, I think he definetly deserves a listen.

a new beginning

I am starting this blog because I think it will be fun to write and share things that interest and inspire me. I guess I will begin with a little background about myself. My name is Casie Pace. I hope to be a decent artist one day. I have been studying art in college for about two years now, with a concentration in painting. My favorite mediums are charcoal, pastel, watercolor and ink. I've been thinking a lot about what exactly I want to do with my art degree (which scares me a little). There are many things I am interested in like illustrating children books or making album cover art. I've also been thinking more about being an art teacher. Well anyway I am the oldest of five children and I've spent most of my life in Macon, Ga. I always disliked living in Macon until I moved away from it. I think what I miss the most about it is that my family, boyfriend and my friends still live there. It's what I am use to. But Milledgeville is also a nice town. The people in it make it interesting. I am glad I made the decision to transfer here because I have grown up a lot, as a person and as an artist. Well I hope to update with blogs less about myself and more about things that i find interesting and worthy to write about.
